Hi everyone! Thanks for checking in. I've posted a bunch of new hearts and pendants on eBay. I will be updating the Etsy store next but it won't be until next weekend. Sorry I've been absent for a few weeks. Life happens, ya know? I've been spending time cleaning and organizing my studio. I completely revamped my photo setup and I'm really happy with the new pictures that I am getting. I finally gave up on the Mac computer and bought a new pc. Also upgraded to photoshop 8 from 6 which is going to take a little getting used to. I look at it all as an investment. I'll have new items added to the Etsy store and to eBay in the next few days. I have some really great boro hearts that will make perfect Christmas presents and some new focal beads and sets that I think you're going to love.
PS...In case you are wondering after ready the October 10 entry below...I AM keeping the security screen closed and locked now. I don't want any more unexpected visitors!

It's been a busy week in the studio. Lots of glass has been melted and we had an unexpected visitor...a possum. I had shut down the studio about 11:30pm and as I shuffled toward the security door to close it there was a possum, which appeared to be dead, lying right in my path. It startled me and I screamed, as I screamed it jumped up and glared at me. Then I really screamed. I couldn't get it to leave so I left the garage door up about 6" thinking it would leave on it's own and I went to bed. A couple of days later the garage started to really smell. Yup the possum wasn't playing possum anymore! But we couldn't find it. Every night when my son Brian and I got home we looked for the source of the smell but never did find it. There are a lot of things stored in my garage so it was like a treasure hunt. Finally this morning my son Chris came over and we started to empty the garage to find the source of the smell which was by now really gross and disgusting. We did find the possum and it was very obvious that it was dead and not playing. Ewwww!

I've been working with a new glass for the last two weeks. The two sets above were both made with the same glass. Pretty amazing right? Flame atmosphere and base glass are the only differences. I've really been having a good time with it but it's time to do something different. So next week I hope to have some new designs with another new glass that I just received today.

A quick update tonight as I'm watching the US Open tennis match. I have five auctions beginning tonight. Three of them are fantastic focal beads that are unique enough to stand alone as pendants. Be sure to check them out. The preparation for the eBay store front continues. I've taken and formatted about 80 pictures so far.

The two auctions pictured above will be ending tonight. I do have several other auctions still running and will be listing more in the next couple of days.
I have also been working on photographing beads and pendants which I will be listing in a new eBay storefront that I am working on. The plan is to revise the "Shop" page here on the website to include some more of my most recent designs and also to add a page for available work that doesn't need to be special ordered. Lots to do!
