I have just a quick few minutes to update the site.  I've been working on reorganizing the studio and tagging glass.  I have to be very careful since I work with three different COE's of glass not to get them mixed up.  So I tape the ends of them with different colors of electrical tape to keep them identified.  We're going to build another "glass wall" for the Boro glass as it has quickly spread and is taking over the studio.

We have shows coming up in May at the Yucaipa Regional Center and in June somewhere in No. Orange County.  We will see how Mom does with her back at these two shows before we decide on the schedule for the remainder of the year.  We've taken 6 months off but her back is not any better yet even after physical therapy and acupuncture.  I think cortosone shots are next on the agenda.

I've been working a lot of hours at the day job as it is budget time again and the budget for a big Hospital Medical Center is pretty overwhelming.  It requires alot of attention and coordination on my part.  The deadline is 3/31/10 so I should get my life back after that.

I have some new glass and a cute new torch that I'm dying to try out.  I got one of the new Scorpion torches that is supposed to run so much better on a concentrator.  So far I've just made one boro heart to try it out.  It worked well.  I'm not sure I have it set just the way I want it yet, that will take some trial and error and a good bit of experimenting.

The Pooh and Josie (see their picture at the bottom of the page) went last week for their annual physicals.  That's always a challenge.  Josie does pretty well these days as long as we don't move furniture or bring new people to the house so you can imagine what it's like to take her for an hour long ride in a car.  Neurotic dog.  I asked if I should double her prozac for these rides but the answer was no.  At least it's just once or twice a year.  She seems to have recovered from the trauma this week.  The good news they are healthy the bad news they are fat!  Pooh is back up to 105 lbs  and Josie's at 61 lbs.
